My dd has always been prone ot purple hands in the cold weather - since sh e was v little. It seems worse this year. She's been fine up until this cold snap. He rhands are a purpley/almost black colour at times - dont always feel that cold though. Otherwise she's fine in herself. Anyone else have experience of this?

My friend's little boy had a strange episode of this. Is it fingertips, or all over?
Do you have any history of Reynaud's Syndrome in your family? I think it would be worth a check with your GP and definitely if he ever complains of pain.

its generally all over the hands. She doesn't seem to be bothered by it all.

My 4yo dd suffers from this too. I make her wear gloves AND mittens to try and keep her hands warm, but she only manages 15 minutes or so outside before crying with pain.

Have not really thought about going to GP about it (insert bad mother emoticon here) just thought she was over-sensitive.

Will have a read of Reynauds.
