I've recently bern told I have h. Pylori bacteria in my stomach and have been given mediation to try to eradicate. I believe this is quite an aggressive and difficult bacteria to kill. Can anyone share their experiences please of this awful bacteria?

Hi I've had this twice about 10 years apart.
The first time I had awful upper gastric pain that he me doubled over. GP immediately suspected it and tested which was positive. The second time I knew what it was cause of the pain and GP confirmed it again. I'm positive the second time was from food poisoning in Egypt.

The treatment is very strong and can make you feel a bit off but symptoms soon wear off. Both times I had an endoscopy because of the association with stomach cancer and hpylori as my mum died from the disease aged 48 so GP was extra cautious.

Hope you're feeling better soon!

Thanks for your reply Navy. Sorry to hear you've been through such an awful experience. Not looking forward to starting taking the medication as I've heard it can be pretty gruesome sad

I didn't know I had it.
I had a scope so that's how It was found.
I had triple antibiotic treatment. I didn't find it difficult at all. I didn't know it was supposed to be.
