Brand new wart growing on finger, yuck! What's the best way to get rid?

Like the title says, I've got a brand new wart growing on my little finger. Noticed it last week as a soft little painful spot. I last had one about ten years ago and it was awful to get rid of, so I went totally overboard of course and Wartner'd it, all that did was burn the shit out of the surrounding skin on my finger and not do anything to the wart! Hmm. Won't be doing that again!

So because it's not established, it's still soft but (definitely sadly a wart) what's the best way to stop it before it starts? I've seen salycic acid recommended but like with the wartner would that just burn my skin? Am I best to try the duct tape method?

Thanks! Grin

Cuplex from the GP. It's amazing.

Just watching the GP programme, recommended duct tape for a verruca. If, like me , you won't get to a GP for 3 weeks, tape is worth a try.
