Trigger Finger

I have trigger finger in my little and ring finger. Wednesday the GP gave me two steroid injections in the hand below the fingers...all good so far until the local I'd had wore off and the pain started.

Does anyone know how long I should leave it before I go back to the GP as it's still really painful? I can't put any pressure on the palm of my hand, the fingers are really sore to move and to top it all, are getting stuck in claw mode more than they were before.

Thank you Smile

Steroid injections can make the area worse before it gets better (google cortisone flare). I've had a few of these injections including two for trigger thumb and I think the feeling worse period lasted 2-3 days. I would take anti-inflamatories and rest the hand, and maybe call doctors for advice on Monday if no better.

Thank you Smile

I have started to notice a lessening in the discomfort over the last 24 hours.

Have read up cortisone flare and it sounds spot on. Thank you so much.
