Sore skin, no redness or rash

Since yesterday I've had an area of skin on my outer hip and thigh which is so sore I can't bear anything to touch it. There's no redness, no rash, nothing but it literally feels as though someone has taken a blowtorch to it. Not sure it's worth going to the GP as there's nothing to see, has anyone had anything similar or got any ideas what it might be?

Exactly the conclusion I've come to 😕 Can't get a GP appt for a week so heading to the walk in centre shortly.
