Woke up with my skin like this?!

I thought I had eczema. I've used nothing that I don't usually use in the shower etc. I woke up with my ankle like this, oozing with puss as well...

What's going on? How has it got like this? Sounds silly but it's bloody painful, looks like I've been picking at it and it's got infected.

Trip to the GP needed?

That's happened overnight?? From being normal yesterday?? Shock Are there sheets of skin in your bed? Definitely see a doctor, and pretty sharpish!

Annoyingly, I can't get an appointment until Friday morning Sad

It feels like someone has poured acid onto my skin

Go to see the pharmacist now.

If you can't get an appt you need to go to a walk-in. That looks like a chemical-type burn or a very nasty allergic reaction, and if it's oozing pus, it's infected. It could develop into sepsis very easily, so get yourself down to the docs.

Did you go somewhere yesterday and brushed against something?

Get to a walk in clinic or minor injuries unit. At the very very least a pharmacist.

Were you walking outside yesterday OP? It looks a bit like an early stage hogweed burn. Ankles are a common place to have them.

I'd see the pharmacist. I went with something similar and he phoned GP direct who saw me before surgery. It was cellulitus and I needed antibiotics.
