dd has been complaining of an itchy bottom which set alarmbells ringing but this morning i found evidence in ds2's nappy. lovely. i've got the stuff to treat ds1 and dd and dh but i am still breastfeeding and ds2 is under 2 so cant have the over the counter medicine and i have to go to my gp for a prescription presumably for him and me.

do i wait to treat the rest of the family until i can treat ds and me or do them now and us later?

Oh you poor thing I totally sympathise. We've only just got rid of a reinfection.
You can get Boots' own OTC to treat children over 2 and Dh, do this straightaway and again redose in 2 weeks time. They have to follow strict hygiene rules for those 2 weeks as well.
I was 39 weeks pg and went to the GP who prescribed Pripsen (sachet), I think this is what they'll recommend for the baby as well as long as he's over 3 months old.
Again strict hygiene rules for you and child for 2 weeks until redosing.
Hygiene for us means scrubbing hands and short fingernails every morning, as soon as we get up and washing our bots with anti-bacterial soap thoroughly to rid the anus of the eggs laid overnight. This time however we're wiping with anti-bacterial wipes in the morning.
Nappy changes and toiletting during the day are the same. I bought 'bugs away' wipes and wipe the bathroom surfaces down every morning. All kitchen surfaces are 'bugs away' sprayed every morning. Beds and carpets are vacuumed everyday for the 2 weeks and the bedding needs to be hot washed on everyone's bed the day you dose. Door handles were wiped down as well. I threw out their bath toys! All this is because I followed strict hygiene for 5 weeks to rid me of mine then I was reinfected 2 weeks later! Not taking any chances this time!!
Good luck, the Pripsen works in a day or two.
