Hi,
I had a pelvic ultrasound today after a year of TTC with irregular periods, long cycles (44-65 days). A day 29 progesterone blood test came back indicating no ovulation, but I thought day 29 was too early anyway given I was getting positive ovulation tests/signs at c. day 33..
Anyway, from the scan letter it was unclear whether scan would be internal or external or both. They were running late and I could hear the previous appt through the door (felt bad about this), the sonographer was explaining to the lady lots about pcos. During my external scan she didn't talk much at all, she just asked were my periods always irregular and was I on the pill and frowned.
Then she said we're done and I'll write to your GP. I said ok and got up to tidy myself and then leave. Just as I was out of the door she said (unprompted) it would be a couple of days. After that I was really worried, all previous X-rays/scans/bloods I've had have been a much longer wait than a couple of days, I'm so worried my I've been told to follow up quickly because something is terribly wrong, and that's why she didn't tell me anything like she did the lady before.
Is it normal for it to be a couple of days only?! I've had a bad year health wise with other things and have had bad anxiety in past, was doing better but this has got me in a panic, I can't cope with much more.
Feel stupid I didn't ask her but I was halfway out the door (and bursting for the loo). Also wondering why I didn't have the internal scan...
Hate myself when I'm like this but so worried..
