What are the rules about eating again after tummy bug because I'm starving ?!

I've had a tummy bug -stomach cramps Sun/Mon/Tue and then diarrhoea Tues night/Wed morning.

Didn't really eat on Tues (as I felt generally ropey and had cramps), starved myself until yesterday when I ate a piece of toast (followed by trip to the loo as a result).

This morning I feel so lightheaded and weak -hardly surprising I know but I am desperate to eat. I would also kill for a cup of tea/coffee. Even DSs leftover breakfast looked delicious!

What are the "rules"? If I follow the starve for 24hrs from last episode of diarrhoea then I can't eat til about 4pm today and I cannot last til then

I think you will be on eating now if you have been ok since yesterday morning



Maybe just have a small glass of water for now and some toats or plain biscuits and if thats ok you can try a cuppa!!

Thanks anniebear - I didn't have a good reaction to the toast yesterday afternoon so thats why I'm wary as its less than 24hrs on.

I've been drinking cooled boiled water OK but I think I will give the toast another go. Everywhere I look (TV,MN, magazines I keep seeing food......)
