I found that Dong Quai or Agnus Castus helped me so long as you not trying to conceive or breastfeeding.check them out on google. Also eating a fresher additive freed iet helped. Salty meat (oo er missus!) makes me worse.

I am taking vitamin B6 (recommended by my GP), i've only just started taking it so can't really say whether it works or not - but worth a go.

According to the 'Truth About Food' the other night, high doses of omega 3 along with increased levels of calcium (so that the body will absorb the omega 3) is suppoded to help. Lots of cheese and oily fish then....

Will watch this post with interest as mine seems to be getting worse.

Agnus castus, magnesium supplement and a low GI diet in the run up to your period are all worth a shot.

I take B6 and Oil of Evening Primrose and both of them together seem to be working.

I was taking fluxoetine but have been weaned off this but seem to be okay with just the B6 and Primrose now.

As far as I know St Johns wort affects the pill so check it out with a qualified herbalist first. In fact maybe if you saw a herbalist they would prescribe a good blend thats just right for you?
I'm in Leeds! Where are you?

What pill are you on, Yorkshirelass - Yasmin is often recommended as best for PMS.

Prozac

Definitely should NOT take St John's Wort whilst taking the Pill. You could take Starflower Oil capsules instead of Evening Primrose-it's supposed to be more potent.
Also reducing sugar intake is recommended-unfortunately that's the time of the month when you have the urge to grab an almond croissant.

Prozac is actually prescribed for some people who have very bad PMT!!

I am going to try the Angus Cactus, I think.

Yes, seems a bit strange as I am on prozac for depression and still have raging pmt so would not like to see what it is like without the prozac....
