Has she been seen by a dr yet?
If the medicine is not bringing the temperature down, she needs to be seen.

Ds has just been diagnosed with pneumonia today, after 5 days with a temperature and of not eating.

I'd give it - DR has presribed more than that for DS.

Maybe ring NHS direct or out of hours GP for some backup?

the neurofen is bringing it down, but the calpol doesnt touch her temps. never has done. i full neurofen dose oesnt last long enough for the 6 hours. she has had 2 lots of 5ml (overnight and this morning) and 2.5ml at 3pm. just wondering if i can give her 2.5ml now really.

i think she has another throat infection

Thanks REIDnotREEDorREAD
He has had it once before, it is a worry but I am sure he is over the worst now and is on AB's.

Could she need antibiotics Misdee? There is a lot of tonsillitis going round at DC schools.

Good luck with getting an appointment. I expect children get priority when it comes to getting a late appt.

I do split the dose sometimes if I have given the smaller amount earlier. Not sure if supposed to though. Keep going with the calopol too

how is she now?
