Is it safe to just use condoms for contraception? or should I get copper coil?

I am planning to become pregnant after a few years,in the meantime I am thinking to only use condoms to prevent pregancy. in the past I have used it effectively.

what are your thoughts ladies, is this safe or will I have another little one on the way?

what do you think about the copper coild, I felt my periods were heavier when I had it so had some backache as well...
