Can anyone recommend anything that will help with the constant coughing of bronchitis so that I can actually get some sleep/rest? I'm 16 weeks and I have been given a 7 day course of amoxicillin but Dr said he couldn't prescribe anything for suppressing the cough. I can actually hear my chest crackling when I breathe. Any ideas welcome!

You sound just like me a month or so ago!! I was on here whinging that I felt so so ill...and then I was diagnosed with viral bronchitis the next day 
I was about 16 weeks pregnant at the time too!!
My doctor didn't give me the meds you have because it was viral, not bacterial for me, but she did give me a blue inhaler which really helped with the constant coughing, wheezing and chest cracking sound! Is your coughing also worse at night??
