Any help/tips for using organicup?

Hi. If I'm posting this in the wrong place then I'm very happy for Mumsnet to move it to where it should be Smile

So...I decided to try a Mooncup and loved it straight away, I've been using it for about 4 months, i got to grips with it the first month I used it. The only slight niggle I had was that I felt like it was putting a bit of pressure on my bladder, after an email to MooncupUK help they sent me the smaller size which leaked a bit so I went back to the larger one.

Last month at the end of my period my DH accidentally threw my MooncupUK in the bin (it was wrapped in tissue on the back of the toilet ready to be boiled and he put it in the bin by accident) After reading good things about the Organicup I thought I'd try it. I read that it's softer than Mooncup so im thinking that it might not press on my bladder as much but I can't seem to get it to unfold properly, the rim feels like it's unfolded but the sides are suctioned in, it's as though the air holes aren't letting air in to allow it to expand.

I have just emailed them asking for advice but as it's Friday it'll be next week before they get back to me and I'd really like to use it this weekend.

Has anyone any experience of this and any tips for me?

Thanks in advance Grin

Hi.

I've been googling and realised that I've not tried different folds on my organicup yet, I didn't even think to because the C fold always worked so well for me with my Mooncup, I'm going to try out different folds this weekend.

Sorry for wasting your time if you read all of my first post.

And, sorry again if this was posted in the wrong place, I'm still getting the hang of mumsnet Smile

This is the contraception section, which might be why your post went unanswered.

I hope the folding went well!

If not, try asking MNHQ to move this to chat or general health, ad you might get more responses in either of those.

Mercy I actually started this thread because I had the opposite problem** Grin mine wouldn't pop open. I've given up and now use a Ruby cup which pops open every time.

The cups are supposed to pop open, that's how they work. They pop open, if there are still leaks then turn the cup by pinching the base of it and rotating it.

I think this is on the wrong topic so if mnhq want to move it to a better place then it'd probably get more replies.
