sinusitis hell

How how how can I knock this on the head? No pun intended. I've been ill since Saturday. Day 3 of antibiotics, am juggling ibuprofen and paracetamol, using a neti pot but am still in agony. Have just called in sick for tomorrow as I have lost the will to sit at my desk groaning for yet another day.

Am being pitiful. What can I do that I haven't thought of? It feels like I've jumped into a swimming pool and inhaled half of it up my nose ALL the time. It's rotten and I need to get this sorted

If this hasn't resolved yet then try a sinus rinse - you can make your own at home or buy them as a spray - the nurse practitioner at the surgery I work at swears by them for sinus problems - she's had many a patient thank her profusely for suggesting it!

A neti pot is a sinus rinse isn't it? They've never worked for me but have for friends. Nothing seems to help me so you have my sympathies. ABs should have kicked in by now, hope you feel better.

The one she suggests is Called NeilMed sinus rinse I think

Neti pot was a disaster - I use one a lot but tried at the weekend and it was excruciating. I cried

However! The antibiotics sorted it but oh my god, I wish I lived in a country where you can buy proper painkillers over the counter
