Bleeding between periods (TMI sorry!)

I'm becoming slightly concerned about this. I've got a gynaecology appt at the end of May due to bloating, irregular bleeding and bladder issues but I'm not sure wether to get back onto the gp? I'm still having bleeding and bloating which is becoming quite painful and I'm getting little clots, not huge but different to normal. I had noticed that there was a strong smell a few days ago but thought it could be thrush but then the bleeding started and the smells gone? Sorry I know that's vile but may be relevant.

when you say bleeding and clots, is this between periods still? so must be quite heavy rather than just a little? is it brown blood or red blood?

Yea, only had a period less than two wks ago. It's not heavy, it stops and starts and mainly only when wiping but I've had to use pads. It's bright red but with little clots. Sorry I know that sounds horrible! I just don't know where I'm at with it! Yesterday I felt like there was a lump around my pubic bone when I sat down to go to the toilet. It happened a few times but haven't noticed it today?

Maybe call your GP, and say it feels worse, mention the smell?

Yea I was thinking of that but not sure if waiting til my appt in May will do. I'm immunosupressed too due to medication so need to be careful of infections etc, especially bacterial. Think I best phone just to be safe.

Yes, I would. Our family GP would rather see us than not when we are worried even just for reassurance

Let us know how you get on - and don't minimise if you've been in pain or it's unusual for you, make sure you tell the GP exactly what's been going on and how worried you are :)
Good luck!

Hi, spoke to my gp today and he's more concerned about my stomach pain. Think cos I've got a gynaecologist appt in 4wks he's happy to wait til then for the bleeding. Regarding my tummy he wants to test for a certain bug? I've had high inflammation before and query ibd. As I'm on the best drug around for ibd (the same drug is used for my autoimmune arthritis) I've a feeling it may be keeping my stomach issues at bay. Tho my arthritis is flaring slightly so not sure if this is why my stomach is acting up also. Anyway, I have to put in a stool sample in 2wks once I've come off my stomach meds. He did say if it gets worse to call back.
