possible STI or something else?

Just been googling my yucky discharge symptoms and the most likely fit is Trichomoniasis (sp?), an STI. Only problem with that is I've only had the dodgy discharge a few months, but last had sex over two years ago. Have only been with DH for over 12 years, so if it is that then I've had it that whole time with no symptoms, during two pregnancies, surely it would have shown up on various preg-related tests?
It's technically possibly that DH could have passed it to me, but I really dont think he's cheated on me, besides which we haven't had sex since DC2 was born (now 2yo).
Any knowledge of Trichomoniasis out there? How likely is it to suddenly become symptomatic after so long?

Sorry it would be very difficult for anyone to diagnose or share symptoms you should see your gp.

You're right, ugh, hate this tho. Had enough of HCPs poking about up there to last a lifetime!
