In F&Z's absence, (please come back oh great Bark-Sucking One!) I have decided to start a new thread, as I'm currently suffering from cold, post-Christmas blues and need a boost for new year. Welcome back old friends and hello to any new members.
To recap, the idea is to up your 5-a-day of fruit and veg to 10, and to try for just 10 minutes' more excercise a day!

Note to self: a slice of lemon in 10 whisky and gingers is not 10 portions of fruit

Oh glad you started this FMF, I was going to find the old thread then saw this one!

I am just getting over a cold, and took my Christmas tree down today (still have some fairy lights up though) so it is time for a fresh start! I have actually started consciously upping the fruit intake over the last few days - been eating grapes, dates and mandarins. Made a rather hot veggie chilli last night with mushrooms, peppers and courgette, and we've just polished off the leftovers.

I made Smashing Pumpkin Curry for Christmas dinner which was great - I made it on Christmas Eve so only had to reheat it the next day

I hope you all had a good Christmas and I wish you all a very happy new year

the water is important but 1 glass is about 250ml in my book so thats not too much really just 2.5 l in total each day which is approx 5 pints

Remembered I'd joined.... then realised that I hadn't had any water today. So have just opened a 500ml bottle (I know, but they are handy to go in school bags and when I'm hopping buses and tubes) and will attempt to finish it. I'm so crap at drinking water.

Am doing roast veg with lunch (we're having a very late one as we all stayed in bed forever this morning) and will be sure to snack on fruit. Well okay then the last 2 apples in the house.
