Hi I have a long standing medical condition an effect of which means I struggle to eat much. It's physical rather than psychological. I'm under the care of a dietician and nutritionist but don't have a appointment until next week. So I'm having episode and have only managed to keep down half a slice of bread and some fluids in 48 hours.
Im too thin as it is and if I can't eat they may need to admit me. So I'm just wondering what everyone's go to foods are for a bad stomach please?
Happy to try anything but the usual toast, mashed potato aren't working.
Many thanks

For me, it's Chinese rice porridge (known as jook or congee).

At its simplest, is rice boiled with loads of water until it becomes like a thick soup. Depending on how bad your stomach is, you can add flavourings by including chicken or pork bones as it cooks, slicing some ginger into it, or adding soya sauce or oyster sauce. You can also add srping onion, or whatever takes your fancy really.

I think you'd need to tell us more about your condition and your bad stomach but I think anything you can get down you ,the more calories the better .So

Greek yoghurt - with nuts and or honey if you can manage it ?

Individual cheesecake type things .

Poached/microwaved /baked eggs with a little butter and cheese ? And/or spinach ?

M&S tinned chicken noodle soup is v tasty and slips down fairly easily .

Sainsbury's creamy haddock risotto ?

Pretzels ( little salty ones ) ,cubes of feta cheese ,slice of ham with a slice of cheese ( I like smoked ) on top and rolled into a sausage ?

Thanks everyone much appreciated. ThanksI will try your suggestions, rice especially sounds a good idea.
Long story short I was critically ill and Icu a couple of years ago and didn't eat for a long period of time and My body isn't very good at it now, and it's now a long term medical condition an unfortunate long term complication.
