foot weirdness diagnose me please !

So ive had this on the instep of my left foot for a few days its spreading(started out pin prick size now about the size of a ten pence piece)its a little sore and itches like crazy,any ideas?

Looks and sounds like pompholyx. You'll probably need daktacort cream, but ordinary daktarin athletes foot cream might help.

Pomphlyx ( aka dyshidrotic eczema) is tiny blisters under the skin, often very very itchy. It has nothing to do with athletes foot so not sure why poster above is recommending athletes foot cream Confused , although nobody knows what really causes it, but it is genetic and mine gets worse when I was hormonal ie just before a period or now I am menopausal
Go to the GP or you can get eumovate now over the counter (which is what the gp prescribed for me)

The best thing for the itching is actually painkillers. I find it takes about 20 minutes but works every time.

Bruffin thats brilliant thank you ill give that a try ive just been diagnosed with mixed connective tissue disease and im a bit ru down so could be that. Do you know if its contagious?I have a dh and 3 kids many thanks

If it is eczema then it is not contagious, but probably best to check it out with your gp.

It can be set off by the same fungus that causes athletes foot. Daktacort is anti fungal and has hydrocortisone in it. My dh's gp prescribed it for him.

Im seeing my consultant on thurs so will have a word its spread all all over my foot now and so itchy I could scratch till its raw !!!!
