DD has been vomiting this morning and now has very runny white poo - well not pure white - maybe a pale vanilla. Anyone know what this indicates?

I think that white poo indicates that the body isn't producing bile. Call the doctor. I think it can be associated with viruses, but call the doctor just in case.

m2a its usually malabsorption of some kind. Is he at all jaundiced? And is his wee, very dark? If so could be a liver problem. If these symptoms aren't there, but the pooh is pale, and VERY offensive smelling, its often malabsorption of fat. If it continues, I'd inform GP on this weekend. hope he's ok xx

DS had white poo when he had gastroenteritis, it also had a very distinctive smell that wasn't a poo smell.

Get your LO checked by a Doctor

My ds gets this alot because he drinks alot of milk.
Its especially evident when he isnt well, next day its back to normal though.
I dont worry about it at all.

If the poo is amongst other symptoms like jaundice, weight loss, fatigue then YES absolutely worry, but with a bit of sickness then i would hang fire and see how he is TBH.

My dd has just got over a tummy bug and her poo was a pale vanilla. She had the runs but wasn't sick, refused to eat but other than that has been fine in herself, so I wasn't worried enough to take her to the doctors.

Def worth checking with GP as can be a sign of coeliac disease I think?
