sudafed safe in pregnancy?

hi everyone, im new here and im 37 wks pregnant and i have a bad cold, was wondering if it was ok to take sudafed? Did anyone else take it whilst pregnant?

don't think so..best bet to ring boots or NHS direct for advice...x

I think you pretty well have to manage with paracetemol when you're pregnant hayleywayley but I'd ring a chemist to check. NHSDirect don't have a pharmicist around IIRC and they are about as much use as a chocolate teapot on issues like this

nope as far as I know, no decongestants are safe, which is sod I know.

if you are congested...try steaming ....and sleeping a bit more propped up...x

Decongestants: You should not take decongestant medicines or nasal decongestants unless specifically prescribed by your doctor, as there is insufficient evidence of their safety

My doctor told me not to take sudafed when i was pregnant.

olbnas oil....has lately been contraindicated for pregnancy..but might just be early pregnancy re the aromatherapy.....sorry!!
