Has anyone else had what seems to be a stomach virus that comes and goes over 2+ weeks?

I've had what appears to be some kind of stomach bug intermittently over the past couple of weeks. The first weekend I had no appetite, then had diarrhoea and stomach cramps overnight.

Started to feel better but then I've had the odd day of no appetite, feeling bloated and queasy. I've been trying to eat quite bland foods so I don't think its something I'm eating.

This weekend I've had queasiness and mild diarrhoea yesterday morning. I took some pepto bismol as I was out for the day but ended up home early on the sofa for the rest of the day feeling very sick.

It does appear that there is a stomach bug going around as I know a few people that have been ill recently but I only know of one who had it longer than a couple of days. She called NHS direct after 2 weeks of being poorly and they sent her to A&E. She was told its probably heartburn (which she's never had in her life). She says she's fine now apart from feeling more tired than normal.

Has anyone else had this? How long can I expect it to last? It's driving me mad as in usually quite active and I can't contemplate doing any exercise at the moment.
