My DD has had eczema for as long as any of us can remember and is now 13 and we cannot get it under control. She is typically atopic and also has asthma and GORD.
We have seen a great dermatologist who explained that DD's eczema is due to a gene mutation rendering her skin ineffective at protection (in simple terms). There is nothing diet or allergy wise that is going to do anything to improve her eczema, something that we had already discovered.
Her eczema shows no sign of going away and she is becoming very conscious of her arms and legs.
To cut a long story short, it has been recommended that DD start azathioprine. Has anyone had any experience of taking it for eczema? Thanks for reading
