Do I need to see a doctor for this? I have anxiety so never know if I'm overreacting

I have had this before, it sort of comes and goes. But I had it again last night quite badly, and it still there this morning.

At the moment, I have an aching pain in my lower right leg. I also have tingling, like pins and needles in my lower right leg and right foot. It's not so bad that I can't stand up or anything, I'm just really aware of it and it's making me worry.

I also get the pain/tingling in my other leg sometimes and my arms and hands. As I'm typing this actually I'm getting the pins and needles in my right arm, around my elbow.

Like I said in my title, I have anxiety and I know that I can overreact sometimes, so I was just wondering if people thing it's anything to worry about.

I'm scared that I have some sort of cancer on my spine or something which is causing it. I know that sounds really silly.

I would think that if it comes and goes, so you don't experience it for a few days, then it won't be something like cancer of the spine.

Maybe it's just poor circulation? Do you do much exercise? Could you increase it, if not, and see whether the symptoms are still there?

Tingling/numbness tends to be neuropathic (nerve related). Could be a slightly trapped nerve somewhere? Could also be anxiety. I would probably go see your GP, if only for reassurance.

When did you experience it for the first time?

Thank you so much for the replies so far. I know I'm probably over reacting.

It probably first started about 6 months ago. It wasn't triggered by anything I don't think.

The poor circulation idea could be right actually. I probably could do more exercise, and it is worse when I've just been sitting around all day.

Thanks everyone, I feel a little bit reassured now
