Large spasm lump near ovary.

I have posted about this before but basically over the last 1.5yrs I'd say I get a lump that comes and goes just near my right hip which I can only describe as near my ovary. It is totally unrelated to what I'm doing- for example I'll be lying in bed very relaxed and still and this lump will suddenly rise up (it's huge probably the size of a satsuma) and then completely disappear with a few seconds, particularly when j put pressure in it. So it feels like a muscle spasm of some sort and when it's gone you cannot feel a lump at all. I've been to the doctors 3 times now, I think they thought I was being meritocracy but last time I was there it actually happened while the doctor was feeling the area and she actually jumped back in alarm!! She said she's never witnessed or heard of anything like it, and has asked for a ultrasound scan which I'm now waiting for. I've googled this and can find absolutely nothing!!!! The doctor said if it was anything untoward it wouldn't disappear like it does but still, I can't help but worry. Particularly as it has got progressively worse and now happens all the time.....

I suspect it's probably your colon doing what it's supposed to do and contracting to push along it's contents!

I get this too sometimes - have done for years. I have never given it a second thought - always assumed it was the above!

And I think the doctor's right that a lump which keeps disappearing is highly unlikely to be anything sinister.

seriously- more likely to be your guts- are you very thin?

I'd guess colon/bowel, constipation/trapped wind.

Yes that's the kind of thing that would make sense- I hope it's something like that anyway. It's just that as it's got more and more frequent over the last few months it's quite hard to ignore now, although there's absolutely no pain. It happens every ten seconds or so unless I'm lying on my front- it really does feel like an alien!!!! Thanks for replies I feel better about it now!
