Large bruise on breast

Hi,

Woke up this morning and noticed a big bruise on my left breast. It's about the size of a 50p piece in total, purply in the middle, yellowing towards the edges. I can't think of anything that could have caused it, it's not painful and there's no lump or swelling. Any ideas or experience of similar? My mind is working overtime and I'm stressing myself out. I'm also 8 weeks pregnant.

Thanks! I'm sure it's nothing but thought I'd see if anybody had similar before taking any action.

I don't think its too much to worry about. Years ago I slipped and badly bruised my breast (fell on my umbrella), I knew how I had done it but still worried. I showed it to my nursey friend who said keep an eye on it but also said it was just like any other part of your anatomy and you wouldn't give a bruise on your thigh a second thought. It took an age to heal maybe three months. If you're really worried or it changes or just to settle your mind go and see your doctor or practice nurse.

Could it be that you've knocked it and not realised or forgotten?

It may just be me that does this but I recently had a similar thing happen but the bruise was across the top of my foot. I cannot remember for the life of me how I did it.

Actually in addition I have also had an unexplained bruise on my breast my husband called it a UDI (unexplained drinking injury!)

Thanks for the replies. I'm sure it's perfectly innocuous and I'm just overthinking it. I'll keep an eye on it and check it heals like a normal bruise.
