Sorry this is soooo gross, but DH cringes when i try to discuss it, so really need to know that there are others out there with the same problem. Have been trying out several different pills for the last 6-7 months, some made me bleed all the time, others gave me headaches, etc. finally decided to stop altogether as the reason for me going back on the pill at all was because i get heavy painful periods. But the last 2 i have had have been worse that before i even went on the pill, and this time around, (came on on Sunday) I'm losing huge clots of blood (the size of the palm of my hand) even though its like day 5. Last night i flooded the bed. Feel so fed up. Please someone reassure me that its all the pill swapping???Or should i ask GP for appointment for ultrasound...fibroids?? I must sound really daft...thanx for any advice u may have

never had this bunny, but would have thought you should get it looked into.

Could you be pregnant? but even if you were and it was a miscarriage would it be like you describe.. i don'«t know . though someone will. Good luck!

Somewhere in the dark and dusty recesses of my mind I recall being told that a clot bigger that a 50p was cause for concern so the size of a palm is a worry.(was that post child birth advice?) I would see GP asap. You must be horribly anaemic if nothing else. Good luck.

the 50p thing rings a bell with me too. think maybe i'll call the docs in the morning.

I dont mean to worry you, but id go to A & E. I had similar for 4 weeks (after a termination) and got seen in the nick of time. I was desperatly anemic (sp?) and infected up to my eyeballs.

clots the size of your hand,.....i'd be at the hospital now!

bigger than 50 pence piece ( after childbirth definitely) is cause for concern

this needs to be investageted now! pill swapping can cause breakthrough bleeding, spotting etc..this is not right IMO...

Do you have any pain?

I had an ectopic pregnancy after pill swapping, though PLEASE NOTE my symptoms were NOTHING like yours. Maybe you should consider getting yourself checked out tonight...

as Queenie says, at the very least you must be pretty anaemic by now!

bunny75

Your GP should refer you to a gynaecologist as a matter of urgency.

Heavy painful periods can have a number of causes; the two main ones are endometriosis and fibroids.

Hope A & E were of some use and actually put you in touch with a gynae in a gynae ward.

I know what you mean lulumama. I keep thinking about what happened to her. It would be nice to hear that she was ok. I have enough things to worry about without adding bunny to my list!
