Are these levels of tiredness normal?

Is it normal for everything to feel like a big effort? Am I just lazy? I've felt like this for years... I'm just starting to wonder if I am actually lazy or if there is more going on.

The day before I get a cold or something else I get a huge surge of energy and everything seems so easy! I have tidy house/happy children. But on most days I just want to sit.

Is this normal? I have a nine month old and 3 year old. They don't sleep terribly well, but I used to be like this prior to that I'm sure of it.

I think you know what the answer to your question is. You wouldn't be posting on here if you thought it was 'normal'.

When my dd was little I was tired all the time. Thought the tiredness was due to broken sleep. It wasn't

Go and have a chat with your GP about it and see what he/she says.

Funnily enough I was thinking the same thing about myself this morning. I slept fine last night but when I got up it was a struggle to get going. I don't know if it's my diet or, like you, just lazy can't-be-arsedness.

I felt the same & went to see my gp who did full blood tests & it turns out I have a under active thyroid. I started to take floradix iron & vitamin liquid supplement which really helped with tiredness & fatigue. It's quite expensive & tastes yak but would definitely recommend it :)
