cervical polyps - any had them? If so, what symptoms did you have?

Hi y'all, I have a polyp on my cervix that was spotted during a smear test 2 weeks ago. I didn't have any symptoms from it all. In the last couple of weeks I have been feeling really bloated in my uterus, and today have started getting period pain-like cramps, even though my period is not due for another two weeks.
Does it sound to you like this is related to the polyp, or different. My internet research isn't showing many examples of people getting cramps when they have polyps, but I thought some of you may have experience of it.
I kind of hope that when I get the polyp removed that they might give me a scan of my uterus, just to put my mind at rest, but I'm not sure it that is standard or not.
Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance

Hi I had a polyp but it was in endometrosis. It came as a little bleeding outside periods once and further test showed polyp and then it was removed.

I had no other symptom at that time. However can your symptoms be ovulation related?

Some bleeding after sex was my only symptom.

I had a cervical polyp removed when I had a hysteroscopy and mirena fitted. It was discovered by the GP when she was having a root around for 'clues' to heavy periods
I had no symptoms
Good luck Thanks

My experience was pretty much the same as Honeezreturn. No symptoms at all, discovered during a smear test, and removed during a hysteroscopy & mirena coil fitting.

A few years earlier I'd had another one, which my gynaecologist removed for me with no anaesthetic required.

I had no symptoms until I went for a coil. That turned into 3 months of investigations as it turned out I had endo as well.
