I had a doctors appointment last week after reeling off my symptoms of stupidly irregular periods, possible infertility, weight gain etc..and after a scan &an internal scan was told that my right ovary appears to be polycystic. I was told I needed a blood to (I assume to confirm it) but when I arrived the next day was told I had to wait until the first few days of my period for it. So I do have an appointment ahead of me, but due to the in predictiveness of my periods,I'm not sure when it will be. My question is, for about a month now I've had a horrible stomach ache. It started off as more sharp pains, like stitches..which although painful were probably more bareable that it now progressing into constant period like pains. They're excrutiating in the mornings and persist all day every day. I also can't sleep at night, I'm wide awake and usually falling asleep at 6 in the morning. Although I'm tired I just can't sleep. Just hoping someone could explain it to me. Is this anything to do with my ovary being polycystic? Should I wait until my blood test to ask my dr or is it just something I should get used to? Really looking forward to hearing from someone
