Ow - after a single dose of antibiotics?!!

Just been prescribed 2 months of Erythromycin gastro-resistant antibiotics to try and help my bastarding cystic acne.

I've only just had one dose at lunchtime and already I have intermittent stomach pains, the likes of which I very rarely have. The GP warned me I might get this due to a history of mild IBS.

Is it possible for my stomach to be so sensitive to antibiotics so quickly though? I thought the disruption in gut flora would happen after a few days at the earliest.

Yes these are buggers for that.
I would ask for something else.
If it's for acne maybe tetracycline or doxycycline?

I had stomach pains with this and also had stomach pains. The doctor took me off them and put a note on my records to say I can't take it again. I'd definitely ask for something else.
