Hi all

My fiancé and I are trying to conceive, I have a regular cycle of 26 days with a 7 day period. I was due on on the 7th.

I've had unpredictable mood swings for the past week or so as well as fatigue, dizzy spells and waking up very early in the morning (4.40, 5.30 and 6.00 for no reason). I've had absolutely no stomach cramps which is my usual warning sign for my period though around the 5th I started to get lower back pain.
I tested on the 8th, 10th and 11th with first pee of the day hoping to get a positive result but all have been negative then on the evening of the 11th I got what I thought was my period but it's bright red in colour and very thin, like water. There's also not a lot of blood and no stomach cramps although my backache has gotten worse.

Is this just an abnormal period or could I be pregnant? Very confused!! confused

See a doctor? Maybe get bloods done

I had what seemed like a period before I tested positive a few weeks later after multiple OPK spikes alerted me to the fact I might be pregnant.

In retrospect it was very light with no clots etc.

Maybe wait a few more days.

Hi, I'm Sam. I'm 20yrs old and my fiance and I are also really trying to conceive. I heard your periods can either not come, can differ from normal, or could possibly just stay the same throughout the whole pregnancy.

I personally have thick dark medium flow type of periods every 27-32 days...it picks and chooses when it wants to come and go. It usually lasts about 7 days. This is my first period since trying to get pregnant and it was a few days late with very bad cramps for the first day leaving me unable to get out of bed and move around for about 7 hours. It is usual for me to have bad cramps throughout my period but none that leave me unable to move without wanting to cry in pain. So, to get on with my issue..I usually start on about the 26th or 27th but I started on the 30th this time. My period is very thin, watery, steadly flowing and a medium shade of red blood. I have to change my pad every 20 minutes or so because the period is so thin that it spans out and makes the pad unwearable due to it being soaked after that 20 minute mark. Should I take a pregnancy test after this period is over or is it even a possibility that that is the reason for this change? Someone please help

I'm not sure what it means and if anyone knows please let me know what to do or what this means..

I also have been very tired and much more moody than usual when on my period...not sure if that means anything enough to alter the result of why my period is different this month

I had a period just like you described.

A couple of weeks later I went for my usual check up and when asked I told thy gyn the date of my last period - he was doing a scan at the time - and when I told him he said: "That can't be right - have a look!" and there was DS .
He explained to me that I didn't have my period but that the bleeding was a sign of the egg "settling".

Best wishes to you

Hoping your reply was directed to me @prokupatuskrakedatus.. The egg could be settling with this much blood? How long do you think I would need to wait until this goes away if that is my case also? I'm so worried I am not pregnant and I really do not want bad news though I know it's bound to happen if my situation isn't mirrored to yours in the bleeding category. My fiance is getting worried also....I am really hoping for some answers soon because this is a bit scary

Why don't you do another pregnancy test now? If it's negative then perhaps a good time to visit the GP

@SamC - sorry, your post didn't show when I posted and I couldn't return to check on this tread.
I hope you had good news.

I was honestly convinced I'd had my period and had marked it in my calendar as being "more pink" - until my gyn showed me the screen.
Side effect was that they could't tell my due date (anything between mid October and mid November)...
