my periods have changed since having ds - possible tmi

Pre ds I had heavy periods but no pains or PMT.

When I was pregnant I became really hormonal and was very nasty. Since I stopped bf and got my periods back they are getting worse and worse.

They are lighter and don't last as long (3 or 4 days now) but I get really bad PMT for about 10 days/2weeks b4 hand. And they are really painful. For example I came on today and have been in agony - stomach pains and feeling bery sick. Also I have had a sanitary towel on since this morning, but still has only one spot of blood on it but when I go to the toilet loads of smallish clots come out (sorry).

Is this normal after having a baby. I know the pill can help with problems with periods but I was on it (for contraception) a few years ago and firstly it made me feel funny and secondly I am really bad at remembering to take it every day.

So is this normal and I was just lucky b4, or is it worth seeing a dr and seeing if they could help? What would they do if I did?

Any advice?

Mine changed since having a baby. Much more painful and more pmt, but also heavier too.

I suspect that pg, childbirth and all the hormones do change thins but if you're worried make an appt.

btw, how old is your lo?

My ds is 22 months. I fed him for 9 months but it wasn't till he was about a year old that they started again.

mine changed after each child. you have to give it time to settle down after feeding as well. now a year after feeding, mine have settled nicely. The PMT seems to change after each one.
