Leaky sore breast

As per the title really. DS keeps banging into me and my right breast hurts an obscene amount (I can sometimes really shout at him, he's only 5 and doesn't mean it but it's so painful Sad)

AF is due in about 9-12 days and breast has been leaking today, just a couple of drips. I BF DS for 18 months, ended 4 years ago (nearly).

Is it just hormones? The pain seems to be there all month but both become tender a few days before AF (I wouldn't normally expect it just yet.

I can't go to GP for a few weeks as I have an exam next week followed by a 2.5 week holiday abroad.

Any suggestions as to why my breast might be leaking?!

If you call your GP in the morning can you get a same day appointment? Probably worth doing as leaky discharge should be looked at if it isn't normal

Do both breasts hurt every month or just the right one?

What colour is the discharge? Is it breast milk?

Agree, see GP asap re breast changes. I saw mine this week with a bit of breast weirdness (something eczema-ish round the nipple) and she was happy i'd come in and referred me to breast clinic. Lots of possible explanations, but get it checked out.

The discharge is clear, it's literally one drop every now and then.

The right one seems painful (if DS knocks it) all the time, they both become very tender (without being touched) the week before AF.

I had a lump in it about 18 months ago and was at the breast clinic 2 days after seeing the GP, turns out I have one lumpy breast Blush but it was ok.

I wonder if it's to do with breast feeding, maybe my right breast doesn't want to stop (even though it's been 4 years!!) Wink
