Hey all, be gentle with me I know you ladies can be a bit robust, but I'm looking for some advice, I think I'm in the right section but if not can a MOD please move this.

I'm Caroline 35 and recently I've started loosing huge clumps of my hair, I've always had long blonde hair, and got lots of male attention because of it - but in the last month or so Its started falling out by the fist full and among other problems I'm afraid my BF will leave me.

I've been to see my GP who hasn't a clue, can anyone offer me some advice please I'm at a loss what I should do/

Has your GP offered any tests? Possibly anaemia or thyroid?
I'm really as much use as a chocolate fire guard, but in your position I might try a trichologist or, failing that, a good hairdresser and pick their brains.
It could be hormone related, or a mineral deficiency.
Your BF, if he's worth anything, will not leave you! In the course of a lifetime we all have problems and he will realise that and help you through this particular period in your life.

Test the water by asking BF if he likes pictures of bald women - google them on the internet. If he doesnt object ask if he would like you with your head shaved.
Meanwhile get some medical help and get to the bottom of it.

Thank you I couldn't sign in to here, I forgot my password or wrote it down wrong or something.

I've bitten the bullet and will soon see if he likes it or not, in fact as soon as he gets in from work!! He'll find I had my hair cropped off during my lunch break.

I loved having long hair as it always got me a lot of attention from men, but now I'll find out if I'm as pretty as they've always said I am

If you spent lass time worrying what other men thought of you, maybe you wouldn't be so worried about him leaving you?

You should have bought a wig. Seriously even with short hair you will still have bald bits.
