I'm going to list my symptoms and see if anyone has anything similar and could maybe advise me what's wrong.
Pain in feet, from ankles down into toes, knees, shins, thighs (length of leg between hip and knee), hips.
Shoulders, arms, elbows, wrists and hands down into fingers.
The pain started around ten years ago in my shins, and has spread tot he other areas over the past few years. I don't get the pain all the time, i can go weeks with out a flare up and when i do get on it can last an hour or 6 days. Also not every part is affected when there is a flare up. For example today my left shin, ankle and foot are sore, as is my right elbow and two fingers in that hand!
Yesterday it was both feet, all day.
I have been to see two rheumatologists, one of whom said it was all coming from my neck and referred me to phsyio, who said if it was coming from my neck then the pain would probably be constant, and there was nothing wrong with my neck.
The second one has told me that it's because i have flat feet! She referred me to a podiatrist, who, 10 weeks ago told me he would send me things to wear in my shoes for a month, and after the month i would be fine. I still haven't recieved them.
The pain is now starting to affect my mobility, something it's never doen before - or maybe i just haven't given in to it before -. I find i'm limping or dragging my feet when my feet or legs are sore, and i get pins and needles and numbness in my hands if the pain is there for more than a day. I also seem to have very weak wrists when they are sore. I also get very cold during a flare up. Again this is just something that has recently started to happen.
I have been prescribed Tylex and ibuprofen, which don't really seem to help, they just lessen the pain as oppose to shift it. I also can't take them during the day as they make me drowsy and i CM, i've never yet given into it workwise, but feel that i may have to give up soon if the pain and weakness doesn't go.
I also take amytriptyline 10mg at night to help me sleep, ans the pain was either keeping me awake or causing me to waken early.
I have looked at things like Fybromyalgia but don't seem to have any of the other symptoms. Anyone have any ideas.
I feel like i'm banging my head off a brick wall getting people to take me seriously when i tell them how bad its got.
