Pulled a muscle in my shoulder. Ouch. What will ease it?

I lifted a heavy box at work today and ow ow OW! I've taken painkillers but it still aches a lot. Any remedies?

have done my shoulder in also and gp recommends it (I cant take as bfeeding though)

Take it easy (ie, stop lifting!) but keep your shoulder moving. Take regular analgesia - if this doesn't help see gp asap.
If analgesia helps, use ice packs as well, every couple of hours for 10 mins (be sure to wrap a towel or something around the ice pack to avoid ice burns) and if it is not better after a couple of days see your gp.

Iboprofen helps more than paracetamol. And voltrol (on prescription) helps even more.

Physio is a good idea if it's really bad, or if it keeps happening.

Yes I've been taking Ibuprofen - this is the first time its happened, hope its just a one off
