Can't seem to find anything on the leaflet - just says you may have breakthrough bleeding.

I'm taking Cerazette and am exc bf- I thought not having periods was because of bf.

Can anyone enlighten me?

I'm on Micronor (same principle, different chemical) and have the same kind of periods I had when not on any pill, but am not bfing.

I think it's very variable. I'm on cerazette and have had one period, no other bleeds. I have a friend who is on it and has had no periods in 18 months and one friend who tried to take it but bled continously for 11 weeks. I'm mixed feeding but neither of my friends were breastfeeding or had had babies.

I tried Cerazette and had three periods in one month.

I had constant periods (like expat) on minipill, so no real help here

So, do you think I'm not having periods because I'm bf?

I think it varies. I'm been breastfeeding on and off for over 7 years now and still had permanent periods on the micro or mini pill.

Thankfully dh had the snip last year.

I did (took Micronor for 6-7 years before we started ttc DS), every 2-3 weeks, although they were quite light. Plenty of people don't have them at all though -- it seems to depend on the individual.

I'm on the minipill (I think it's Micronor but can't check as I'm at work ATM) and my periods are fairly unpredictable, sometimes I can go 6 weeks and then hardly bleed at all and other times just 3 or 4 weeks and then have a very heavy bleed that goes on for 10 days. I have also had breakthrough bleeding a week or two after my period had finished.

Hi HotMama. I have been on Noriday since 4 wks after dd was born (18 weeks ago) and not had a period since. I am also bf-ing though so may be down to this. Your baby is about 22 weeks yes? Have you had one at all since birth?

I'm on cerazette and breastfeeding dd. My periods came back when dd was 10 months and had a similar experience to expat. Things have calmed down a little, but still v unpredictable.

Was using micronor while bf ds and periods didn't come back until he was 14 months.

Hi Jackstini.

dd2 is 25 weeks this week-I haven't had a period since her birth - not that I'm crying!

Sorry we won't meet at the meet-up.

Af came back exactly 1 month after I stopped bf dd1.

I'm not intending to give up bf yet- so hopefully won't be having periods for a while.

Hi Hotmama,
Glad you are doing so well with the BF. I am planning on keeping going as long as poss so hopefully AF is a way off for me yet too!
Can't believe your dd2 is already 25 wks - my dd is 18 wks today although it feels like she has been there always. I will try and get to the next meet-up for sure (determined emoticon - grrr!!)
