Looking for some suggestions from all you experienced mums.
DD is my first and so all this stuff is new to me.

A week last thursday she woke in the night with a raging temp of 39.5 and was sick. She was sick for about 2 hrs and couldnt keep anything down. She was tired and grouchy but was responsive and not crying in pain. The next day she was fine.
However
This wednesday the same thing happened again. She woke at 1.30am being sick and had a temp.

I want to know what could be causing this so at least I can try and prevent it.

My thoughts are:
A bug - But surely a bug wouldnt come and go
The heat - She wasnt in the sun but could the heat effect her in this way.

It couldnt be anything she ate as she ate completely different things each time.

Im paranoid now in case it happens again.

Are you giving her dairy?

IME milk seems to start them puking again even when you think they're over the bug.

What I do now is, wait until I'm absolutely sure they are over it, then give it another 24 hours, THEN give milk.

HTH

Yep - I've done this too. "But she hasn't benn sick for 48 hours, she must be ok. I'll give her some milk then".

Cue Omen-style honking everywhere.
