I'm sure I didn't used to be this bad pre DC.

Irn bru contains all sorts of weird stuff that seem to combine to zap hangovers. It's probably the same stuff that Dr Frankenstein used as an elixir of life for his monster.

And bacon is fab isn't it. Grin

Rehydration salts, then a banana. A little later on some simple comfort food - eg toast, bacon sandwich, salt and vinegar crisps.

Got to agree with Irn-bru and I have bacon and egg sandwiches, never had any real hangover with that combination but a nap also helps Grin

Diet coke, bacon sandwich, followed by more diet coke in macdonalds with 2 hash browns and a large quarter pounder meal.

I love that you've posted this in General Health

Curing a hangover is an all day business, needing to go as follows: ice cold Coke, pints of; Marmite toast, about 8 rounds of; McDonalds for lunch; Coke and biscuits throughout the day; massive macaroni cheese at about 6pm for early supper, then straight to bed at 7pm with the children.

Cannot believe you got that trashed at a PTA event. Respect to your PTA!

A mcdonalds always used to be my favourite cure. But these days I am perpetually dieting, and actually hardly ever drink, but if I did have a hangover, I would head straight for the dioralytes and bananas.

Full English breakfast & huge glass of fresh orange juice. Lots of water too. A banana or two & 2 paracetamol. Hot bath.

Lucozade (the original one like your mum gave you when you were little when you had a tummy bug) sipped slowly, the when you can stand up and walk in a straight line again, a bacon sandwich, no butter, on fresh bread with HP sauce. Bacon must be crispy. Tis the law you know.

handmini I'm shocked myself add did not expect to be so blotto at pta event either!

I'm just about recovered, and dh was an annoying mixture of smug/annoyed so was definitely avoided by hiding in bed most of the day while he delt with dc.

the sipping of coke and banana eating broke the back of it. And love the macaroni cheese ideaSmile

currently the sight of wine makes me feel ill (bad times!!!) so hoping this too will pass (quickly).

Thanks all for the adviceGrin
