God, Nulnulcat, how horrible. How is she doing now? Totally sympathise with the whole hospital scenario as ds has been in a few times (just asthma) but I found it so stressful. It's gutting, isn't it? I hope that the hospital is okay and that you are all bearing up. I know it's impossible but do try and have some kind of rest (even if it's just chatting on here). Don't know what else to say really except I'm thinking of you.

Nulnucat - I know it's not the same thing at all but I remember posting almost exactly the same thing as your last post when ds was first in hospital. I went into his room and his bed was empty and I bawled my eyes out. It's almost better when you are actually at the hospital and with them, at least then you feel like you know what is going on.

The hospital ds was in had a 'flat' where parents could go, get a shower, have a rest etc. Does yours have anything like that so you can take a break 'on site' without having to come home and get upset cause she's not there?

I really, completely feel for you.

thanks everyone she is going to be ok i was off sick on fri so i kept her off nursery she spilt a drink on her top about half an hour after getting dressed i was changing her when i noticed a couple of spots on her tummy and they didnt disappear under pressure so i got her straight to gp, they gave her penicillin straight away and got an ambulance to get her to hospital, she was on antibiotics within the hour so it was caught really early the rash spreads so quickly though its really scary. she is in a private room with an ensuite shower room so i was able to get showered and stuff but they are in and out every hour so i was getting no sleep during the night, dp has insisted i come home for a few hours so i dont end up ill myself he has been fantastic and she not even his daughter. cant have friends come over as all of them have small children themselves or are pregnant and i would never forgive myself if i passed anything on, i will go back later on this evening, she is sleeping most of the time so she wont know im not there

the blood in nappy is not connected they dont think, she has loads of allergies and has had loads of health problems suffered really bad with reflux and we have a family history of coelics so they are going to check for that when she is a bit better - her nappies have always been pretty vile just worse than usual at moment

nulnulcat, how awful for you, thank goodness you caught it so early! Well done you for noticing the signs and acting on them so promptly.

I will be thinking about you (as will a lot of MNers) - lots of positive thought vibes to help your dd get well again.

(((((((hugs)))))) - please try to get some sleep, it's the best way to help her, honestly
