PMS - is this what this is?

Basically, have been so long without a period (pg then bfing fo ages, they've not been back long) I have forgotten if this can be attributed to PMS. I'm due on soon and have noticed the last two cycles have been SO ridiculously paranoid and overly-sensitive about everything and generally tearful, drippy etc. Is this normal and what can I do about it??? tia, Dinny

Yes. Eat well and regularly, avoid refined sugars. Evening primrose three times a day helps but you need to take it forever, or at least as long as you are menstruating. It really does help. You can get monster bottles of it in Holland and Barrett.

When you feel yourself tensing up and about to blow, try to tell yourself that you are wrong. That if you can wait till after you come on and things still feel the same then you might have reason to be narked, but try to WAIT until after.

Regular exercise helps too. Ask at your GP's if they run a PMS clinic.

I developed PND when I stopped breastfeeding so take care. You have my sympathies.

I mean take Evening Prim for as long as you are fertile, as in all the time except when your pregnant.

I took it yes, but check with your GP just to make sure. Don't bother with HV. If it is really really bad and affecting your relationships you can be prescribed Prozac which really really works, so don't be scared just to try it. It can't hurt. I was proscribed it wen I was weaning DS off the breast but he was still feeding.

Thanks, Monkeytrousers, will see how next cycle is then maybe see doctor. Am aware that PND is a possibility, esp as have had stresful year with my dad being very ill. Really hope not , hope it is just a PMS thing.
