I had the worst acne ever towards the end of my preg and whilst b feeding the chap having also never had spots. I used a mild tea tree facial wash and for the fist time in my life had to have a skin care regime. I can usually leave my make up on for days with no spots!!
They did dissapear when the wee chap started to wean. and they have completely gone now. But I do remeber the carbuncles, they were awful!

Im always getting bloody spots but get them only occasionally now. I used

Johnsons Qucik Clear daily treatment wash twice a day

and Clearasil ultra rapid action treatment cream over night

dries my skin out though so use moisteriser in the mornings but you are less likey to get spots with dry skin anyhow.

Works really well but if i stop using it for more than a few days they come back!

Also keep your hair from touching your face, wash your hands every time you touch something greasy incase you touch your face and dont realise. Dont eat crap and drink lots of water.

I was talking to a genetasist who had written some re-search papers that suggested that diet would have no outcome on your skin, that spots were mostly to do with your genetic make up and in the case of pregnancy, your genetic hormonal response.

dont tell me that! I cut out all greasy stuff from my diet cause of spots and lost weight as a bonus. But I only did it cause of the spots and if theres no relationship between them and crap food then I might start eating them again! Blush

I always get spots the next day if I eat chinese food though?

I had this happen after ds was born. I got a topical antibiotic from the gp - zynerit or something like that and it cleared them up after a couple of weeks. I've never found the over-the-counter stuff to work.

I have Panoxyl aquagel from my GP, it's brilliant dries them out straight away, it says benzoyl peroxide on the tube so maybe there is an over the counter gel similar. I'm 30 but still get outbreaks every month! Angry
