Thank you. I hadn't and it is informative. I did the nhs diagnosis thing which came up with the message to see your GP within 36 hours. I think it always defaults to this message if baffled grin

Well, I'd see the GP.

NHS knee pain link. You've probably seen it already, but if not, there it is.

Not overweight. Not sure about food.

Ooh, sounds painful. I probably would see a GP, just to know what's what.

Is your food intake varied enough, do you think?
Are you overweight?

Oh and I work part time, 12 hours, standing up.

yeah, they ache almost constantly when in use and are really stiff and painful for a few minutes when I get out of bed.
I do a long walk to school- half an hour brisk walk, twice a day. So that's four walks in total and two hours in total.
It used to be ok, a little aching that eased off but now it's ridiculous. And it doesn't ease off totally, ever. Mind you I haven't had any long term rest from the walking since last summer holidays and don't remember how I felt then.
I wear different shoes over the year and day to day. None make a difference.
So is there a supplement I could take to help? I have googled and wandered through the vitamin aisles in Boots this morning but came away more confused than ever. Dr Google seems to have mixed feelings about the effectiveness of glucosamine and chondroitin. Does cod liver oil work? Is it better to take a general fish oil?
Should I bother my GP?
