Why am I getting MORE travel sick?

Have always had travel sickness from being a kid and if I'm going on a long journey I take stugeron but lately even short journeys and I feel shocking. Sad Why is it getting worse? I have a 10 minute bus/taxi journey into or home from the town centre and the other day I had to get off the bus early as I thought I was going to throw up!

I don't know if it's related but I also always get sick and headachy from fluorescent lights and certain scents too and this has also gotten worse lately. Hmm

Not sure if its the same for you but when I had an increase in travel sickness symptons (and also the fluorescent lights affect too) it was as a result of chronic migraines. I have had this twice over the last 3 years and each time it lasted about 3 months. It started very gradually and went away very gradually and I was prescribed 10mg amitryptiline which seemed to help a little. I did not always have any obvious headache pain although I did get this on occasion. My doctor said I was having silent migraines which seemed to fit the symptons. He had no idea why it came and went but said some people just become hypersensitive at times (possibly allergies?). He also said it was not as rare as you might think and lots of his patients had similar experiences. In between these two occurrences I have minor tension type headache symptons which are easily managed. During the migraine phases I also had trouble watching tv for too long or using pc screens and had to limit this. I also experienced intermittent tinnitus. Hope this helps and that you start to feel better soon.

Sorry forgot to add, the strong smells thing was also a sympton for me. I also got very slight blurry vision and needed my glasses more than usual.

Ooh thanks dinky that makes total sense. I told optician a few months ago about headaches and she said if new glasses didn't help go to docs - I'd forgotten all about it until you said, and yes I am also having trouble looking at a screen for too long too.

GP appointment I think!
