my big toe is hurting me

as it came on when i was wearing my fave winter boots and now its all the time and painful too

will it go away? as ive stopped wearing the boots and ive been wearing my trainers but the pain aches more

how do i treat it?

the pain is on the ball of my foot that connect to the big toe

It could be a strain, or it could be something like gout. Let your GP have a look at it if it carries on.

ooh i've had that before... and i think it's just because certain shoes put my foot in a weird position or something... it usually goes away quite quickly.
i get it more in very flat shoes

It might be gout. This is usually an 'old man's' problem but I've known a 23 year old woman who had it.

Ask your GP.

i'd give it a day or so and see if it settles down...
if it doesn't then see your GP
