Thanks ladies, I had no choice as things were decided for me, I tried to get up on Sunday night and ended up stuck on my bedroom floor unable to move. Two paramedics and an air cushion later I was at A & E, as predicted they just gave me more medication and then sent me home at 3.15 am. The medication has relieved the pain and I saw my chiropractor yesterday. She said the problem was in the left of the pelvis as usual (hospital said it was muscular) but worse than she has ever seen it before, she did some acupuncture and manipulation and I have to go back on Thursday. Things were quite a bit better yesterday afternoon, but I got up and just did a bit of pottering about this morning and had to come back to bed with an ice pack. Hoping tomorrow will see a big improvement, but I have had to tell work that I will not be in this week at all ( no pay as I work in a pre-school), missed a birthday party on Sunday and an event tonight that I was really looking forward to. My partner is undergoing tests for a serious illness and I just want to get back on my feet. Sorry to moan and thanks for the bump and the advice.

I think, in view of your heavy leg and very acute pain, you should see someone today. I have had some bad back pain in the past but have never not been able to get up. Phone and speak to your G.P.

Back gave out on me yesterday, not the first time usually see the chiropractor 3 monthly to keep it in order and have orthotic insoles to correct my feet problems It hasn't been this bad for a very long time, have been unable to get up today and struggling even to get to the bathroom. Spoke to out of hours this morning am on codeine, diazepam and paracetamol which DP went out and fetched for me. He is out at the moment but I am still struggling to even turn over in bed and now the pain is in both sides and my left leg feels "heavy"

I don't want to get taken to A & E to be left for hours and sent home with more tablets, I intend to get an emergency appointment with my chiropractor as soon as I can tomorrow but don't want to neglect this if it needs more urgent attention. Thanks in advance.
