Well finally got my appointment with the incontinence physio and she has confirmed I have a VERY weak pelvic floor after having my baby. It's so bad she has recommended electric pulse therapy, seeing me once a week for a month and then giving me a unit to use at home.

Has anyone done that and got a good result? Just sick of having to watch every sneeze, cough etc. I'm in my early 30s and feel like an old woman. sad blush

Have you tried Oxybutinin tablets. They helped me.

I have used the machine and done pelvic floor exercises along with it. It did help strengthen my pelvic floor but has not helped my continence unfortnately. But that is because I also have a slight prolapse of my bladder. I'm now waiting for an appointment to see a surgeon.

Hopefuly the exercises and machine will help you.

Thanks for your replies. I've never heard of oxybutinin digerd - what are they? Are they over the counter? I've been told no sign of a prolapse lemon so fingers crossed this will help. Good luck with your surgery. thanks

Only on prescription. With me it worked as it was the messages from the brain that were getting confused. But it is precribed for many causes. Didn't fancy the op as only 50/50 chance. There are side effects to the tablets - the main one being a dry mouth, so I was sipping more water than usual.
Stopped taking them for a few months now and so far so good - my electrical brain waves to my bladder are behaving well.

I used Neurotrac Continence and went from 0 out of 5 pelvic floor strength to 3 out of 5. It can be AMAZING for kick starting the muscles and helping you to get things moving yourself. I used the unit every day starting off with 5 minutes on a low setting and gradually working my way up to 20 minutes.
