Has anyone had endometrial ablation?

I'm going to be needing a prolapse repair and was contemplating asking the surgeon if I could have an ablation say the same time. While he's in there, so to speak. smile
They can't fix my prolapse via hysterectomy, and my periods are rather rotten.
Cosmos, how are you feeling today?

Oh, and get well soon, COsmos. Are you watching bad TV?

I think I need one. I am having another spectacular period where I am in a lot of pain and can't leave the house for flooding. I'm nearly 51.

How much time would I need off work? <Quite likes idea of lots of time off work tbh>

Had one yesterday, was groggy after the GA but allowed home 4 hours later. I'm a bit sore but keeping topped up on painkillers and spending the day in bed.

No

Brilliant - no more cramps/dragging feeling/flooding

Stopped completely - nearly 12 months now

Best thing I ever had done smile

Did it hurt?

How did you feel after?

Did it really stop/diminish your periods?
